Likely you’ve been feeling a lot of changes, shifts and energy these days, more so than in the past. Are you curious why? You may know:  humanity, Mother Earth and you – each of us – are going through an evolutionary shift, the most unprecedented one of all time in human history.

You may have heard the terms Age of Aquarius, the ascension process or the great transition. These are referring all to the same phenomena, the evolutionary leap.

What does this really mean?  It means we are rising up in our consciousness, awakening to the knowing we are all interconnected / one with each other, and also that we are living more in higher vibrational emotions (love, kindness, peace, collaboration, harmony, respect, gratitude and joy). Not all of us are doing this at the same time. Each of us are on our own journey.  However, there are even more people awaking than ever before, and for me, this brings me a hope for a new brighter future, a new earth.

Here’s an excerpt from my latest book Humanity’s Cry for Change, which describes this beautifully:

“Imagine with me what it would be like to use Mother Earth’s resources in a capacity that supports optimal usage of resources, resulting in all people having enough food to eat.

See the world where strangers are generous and kind to others, knowing there are plenty of resources available to go around, whether it is food, gas, water, or money.

Think about a world in which your children feel and are safe to walk any street in the world, because there is only the kindness and respect offered to each person throughout the world.

Feel what it would personally be like if you were in a position to relax and be stress free, to be working in a field or career that truly makes your heart sing.

What would you feel like if you had no worries about where your next meal or money for rent came from?

What would your grandchildren’s future look like if you knew there will always be truth and honesty offered by all people?

Imagine what the world would look like, and be like, if all people knew and lived with the knowing that all people are indeed created equal, and that no one person, that no one religion, that no one country, that no one type of skin color, that no one type of life style, is better than another.

This sounds like utopia, yes? Indeed, it can be described as just this!

And, it is possible.

You see, with this evolutionary shift, the evolutionary shift of higher consciousness, people and Mother Earth’s vibration is rising. It is this rising in vibration that represents a rising into love, a rising into a better capacity and ability to actually live from this place of higher respect, kindness and love for one’s self and for all…”.

One Simple Way to Practice Self-Care
Try a two-minute “reset breath” the next time you feel stressed or scattered.
Close your eyes, inhale slowly through your nose for a count of four, hold for two, then exhale gently for a count of six. Repeat 6–8 times.  This short, intentional pause rebalances your nervous system and signals your body that you are safe.

Offer yourself kindness the way you would to a dear friend. The next time you make a mistake or feel frustrated, simply place your hand on your heart and say, “I’m doing the best I can. It’s okay to be human.” This gesture shifts your energy, and brings comfort, self-acceptance and helps to take pressure off of yourself.
As we move through these uncertain times together, remember:

Your well-being matters. Your peace matters.

And here’s something amazing! Your self-care and self-compassion radiates outward, uplifting those around you and contributing to a more loving world!

You – yes YOU! – are the creator of your life! Each of you have the gift of creation. How? Through your thoughts and feelings.  Repeated thoughts and feelings lead to what you experience as your reality.  If you want to change your life, change your thoughts and feelings.  It’s easiest to manifest when we are connected to Source, God, The All That Is, Spirit…..whichever name you give it.

How to connect to Source? One way is with an open heart and deep meditation; intend and feel into the realm of infinite possibilities (God, Source…).  It takes practice and BELIEF!  Belief is key.  If you go into this with complete knowing and conviction that you do create your desires, this helps to manifest it more effectively.

Recently I gifted myself to attend a retreat held by Dr. Joe Dispensa. His work, research and knowledge is wow, life changing. One of the many things that impresses me is the data and science Dr. Joe and his team have, demonstrating the positive benefits of the week long retreat, and his other retreats. The retreat is truly life changing.  Much of what we focused on at the retreat was going into the quantum field (God, Source, Spirit, ….) and connecting here, becoming one with it (after all, we are already one with it! It’s just a matter of putting aside the illusion of separation).  Then we focus with feeling and love in our hearts, into the frequency of the desired possibility we want to create.

Everyday, be aware of – be an observer of yourself! – your thoughts, feelings and actions.  How do you show up in your life? Are you generally positive, or critical? Do you predominantly have high vibrational emotions like love, respect and kindness, or lower vibrational emotions of angst, worry, jealousy?

Being mindful and aware of yourself and your emotions is the first step in creating your new life. Then move onto focusing on what you do want and ensure you’re feeling and thinking in a way that represents this new you. Meditate to connect to God, Source… it takes practice to actually be in the connection, and you have the ability to do this!  Be kind and compassionate with yourself.

Here’s to you and creating your desires! You deserve it!

We all think we know what love is. And some of us really do!  Others associate love as “being in love” with someone, or with life.  Indeed this can be one way to describe it.  However, it is only a small spectrum of what love really is.
 
Love is a high vibratory energy state, the highest in existence.  God is love, love is God.
Love is the true essence of who we are, yes indeed! Each one of us is a divine spiritual being; this is the very core essence of who we are; and divinity is love. Love is God.
 
When we live our lives in the being-ness of love, as best as we can, we are in more alignment with The Creator/God/The All That Is. This also means we are in more alignment with our true essence. Yes, love is experienced with your romantic partner, loved ones or with your pet. More importantly though, love is experienced when we live our life with an open, loving heart and live with this high vibratory energy as our daily mode of operation.

This may be easier said than done though! To live life consistently with love is not always easy.  So, here’s a simple and yet powerful exercise for you to expand your heart’s capacity for love, from my book Humanity’s Cry for Change:
 
Love Essence
You are invited to practice a morning meditation focusing on your heart space and having a remembrance of a “love” experience. Love experiences do not mean sexual, but rather, of a warmth and bliss of love, such as what you would feel with a loved one, like a mother or dear friend, or even a pet. For a few minutes or longer, have a sense of appreciation and love as you remember a love experience. Breathe this into your whole being. Now use your imagination that you are pleasantly saturated in this love essence. For example, perhaps you see yourself immersed in sparkles of love and light, or you feel a warm calm energy throughout your whole body. Next, set an intention to carry this feeling with you during the day.

Here’s to your love and heart’s expansion!

Release and Let Go!

In San Diego, California,   January 1995,  there was a tragedy of a murder of a 20 year who was delivering pizza. His name was Tariq Khamisa, murdered by a 14-year old gang member. The father, Azim, ended up forgiving the 14 year old for killing his son, became friends with the murder’s grandfather and together, the father Azim created in October 1995, the Tariq Khamisa Foundation. This foundation teaches violence prevention to gang members and others. Over 20,000 students annually have been served! They learn core values of integrity, compassionate confrontation, and forgiveness.

his story demonstrates the power of forgiveness and releasing!  It’s important to release and let go that which upsets us.  Easier said than done, I know only too well!  But it is possible.  Depending on the severity of the upset, letting go may happen within a few hours or a few weeks, sometimes longer.

Aware, acknowledge, process, release

To help you let go of upset: it’s important to first be aware of your upset, then acknwledge it. Your human so upsets happen. Don’t stuff it. Then process through your feelings and heal it. It may come back around but likely with less intensity.

Recognize also if it’s in your control or not. Whether it’s in your control or not, still follow the “aware, acknowledge, process, release” strategy.

If it’s in your control, come up with the actions you can take to deal with it. If you’re not in control of it, you can still control your reaction to it.

Here are 2 tools to help you release:

1. Repeat many times, phrases to yourself that are truthful and comforting, and say them with intention and feeing!  

Examples: 

It is what it is – I’m willing to accept it.

All worry in the world won’t change it.

I want peace, so I am willing to accept what it is.

I let go, and let God – God’s in charge anyway!

2. If your upset about someone, for example, their terminal illness, recognize it’s not up to you to judge on what a person is to experience and learn in their life, or how they are to learn it. They are on their own journey.  We don’t know what anything is for.

My wish for you is that you release and let go as best as you can, and create an acceptance around it.  When you do, you cultivate inner calm.

The microphone stopped working during a talk I gave recently at Unity Temple of Denver, due to my moving it around a bit.  It’s a very sensitive mic!  Our video/audio technician reminded me to keep the mic still, and that I can move around the mic. Thank goodness it started working again!

We laughed, and I said I’d love to come up with something about this mic that’s related to my topic of being comforted and having trust and faith.  Suddenly, I got chills all over my body and shared with the audience:  Ah! This mic is analogous to God:  it is ever eternal and always steady.  We as spiritual beings having a human experience, just need to remember to live, dance and move around and with this steady, unfailing presence we call God, Spirit, Universe, the All That Is, or whatever word you use for the power that’s greater than us.

This microphone analogy to God is a wonderful reminder of how we can always find comfort when we go to God during times of challenge, and even in times life is flowing well. In fact, life flows easier and we have more confidence in life when we depend on God. It doesn’t mean we’ll never have challenges, but it means that we can easier cope with those challenges and find comfort.

Here are two ways to cultivate deeper faith and trust in God, leading to increased comfort in your life:

1.  Be willing to have an open heart and mind to believe that yes, God can always be counted on for support, love and strength.  God is eternally with us because God created all life, including you!  This means God is always with you and loves you in all ways unconditionally.
2. Keep a trust journal:  the Universe / God is always providing you with messages, clues and sychronicities.  Have you ever received a message just when you needed it most? Likely yes! Also, all of us experience synchronicities.  God orchestrates the circumstances that provide those synchronicities. When I was going through a particularly difficult time in my life last fall, I received a profound reminder:   during a break at an event I attended, I went to the restroom. While washing my hands at the sink, I suddenly had the urge to look up to the top of the bathroom mirror, and guess what I saw!?  A post-it-note that said “trust”.  I was immensely grateful for this reminder to trust all is going to turn out ok.  So, keep a journal of messages, synchronicities and reminders. Go back and read the journal’s entries to remind yourself that there is every reason to believe that God is always here supporting you.

When you are finding yourself in a challenging time, find comfort in God, allowing yourself to trust and have faith. Life flows more easily and you have less stress when you do.  Also remember how you show up radiates out to others, and you having comfort puts out a great vibe to others.

Life moves at a fast pace; we’ve been conditioned to think we have to constantly work, achieve and prove ourselves. Many of us think we must control our lives.  When we try to control our life, we easily become stressed.

However, when you stop controlling and forcing life, you’ll find that life flows easier.  Life has its own intelligence and natural cycles, including your own life.  When you can act in harmony with what is occurring in your life, you can become more relaxed.  This is the victory in the surrender! Certainly, it’s important to acknowledge any upsets you may have with what’s happening – don’t stuff them – and then move on by feeling and processing the emotions.

To cultivate surrender requires having courage to trust what’s happening and to believe that life/universe/God is here supporting you always.

Recently I’ve been reminded how beneficial it is to live my life from a place of surrender, and to flow with what my life is organically offering. This doesn’t mean I live passively, nor that I don’t take action.  It does mean:

• To live your life consciously and mindfully
• Taking a pause before taking action as needed, to assess what’s going on and then take action
• Discern what you have control over and what you don’t
• Take action on what you do have control over
• Stop resisting what is; what’s happened, happened, regardless of how you feel about it
• Accept what is happening, including that which you have no control over
• Assess the gift and lesson you’re receiving as a result of the experience or person

When you can live your life in more of a surrendered, trusting state, you will find that your life flows easier.  Alan Watts, who is credited to have brought eastern philosophy to the west, shared that true transformation is when you stop resisting and instead, surrender to what is trying to emerge within you, this creates space for life to emerge. He also said:  “Life is not a battle to be won but a mystery to be lived”.

You’re invited to live your life more consciously and mindfully, to cultivate a trust that life is supporting you and to go with the flow as often as you can. It takes practice, but it’s possible. I know, I’m living proof of this!

I came across a true story on line that inspired me.  It’s from SkilledAtLife.com.  Here it is:

Part of a man’s fence was broken by a storm. His neighbor’s son, who is 17 year old, volunteered to fix the man’s fence and chose to do this without receiving payment. He explained, after the man asked why he wanted to receive no compensation, and the 17 year old said it was due to this ex-girlfriend had cheated on him and he was devastated. He chose to do a good deed to help him feel better, to focus on something positive  – the good deed – and felt this would change his mindset. What wisdom from this young man, realizing that when he focuses on something positive, it helps him deal with the current challenge in his life.
 
This story demonstrates the power of our thinking and perspective. We are powerful creators ! No matter if we think positively or negatively, what we’re doing is broadcasting our thoughts to the universe.  You see, everything is energy, including our thoughts, emotions, words and actions.   What we experience in our life depends on our perspective.  When we have a positive perspective, then positive things come to us. When we think negatively, we tend to receive more negative. The universe works like a boomerang:  what you put out comes back to you.  Like attracts like.
WE ARE POWERFUL CREATORS!

One way you can cultivate positivity in your life is to have positive self-talk as much as possible; make it your status quo! Many of us criticize ourselves, and this creates negative, lower vibrational emotions.  Here’s a simple 3 step process to turn that around:
   1. Observe your self-talk. If it’s negative, then
   2. Stop. Imagine a stop sign, to stop talking negative.
   3. Replace the negativity with a positive phrase.

A coaching client of mine had a lot of negative self-talk when she first started working with me. I shared this simple 3 step process to build positive self-talk, and her positive phrase is “I am a treasure”.   She uses this (and other positive phrases) when she catches herself talking negatively to herself.  I’m happy to say that she shared with me that she has greatly reduced her negative self-talk, thanks to this process, as well as other tools I told her about, to build self-esteem.

You’re invited to come up with a positive phrase to use, and then use it!

Here are other tips to be positive:
Hang out with positive people
Stop listening to news
Do fun things
Reflect on the positive gifts or lessons received from challenges

Remember, it’s important to be aware of your perspective on your life’s journey, for this is what shapes your reality!

You Can Choose a New Beginning

Happy new year!

I was blessed to receive an insightful poem from a friend on New Year’s Day, that inspired me to share here with you. Its message shares that we can always start with a new beginning, not just at New Years. (Out of respect, I’ll not share the poem here because I don’t know the author’s name and so am not able to give credit to them).

Some of this poem’s insights include that nature doesn’t know that a new year began; the sun, stars and moon don’t know either. The universe follows its cycles and continues in its life, and doesn’t have a “New Year”.

To begin anew or not, is your choice. You can start anytime to begin anew. And this can be a great way to live your life. It also helps cultivate being in the present moment, and to reflect on what new things you want to create in your life.

As you probably already know, the best and truly only time to live is in the present moment.

Each moment of our lives carries the possibility of a new year. Be willing to reflect on questions such as:
What are your priorities? What is important to you? How do you want to show up each day? What personal growth do you desire to achieve?

Answer these questions. Reflect on others. Dig deep. Find treasure within yourself. Create anew each day! You are the creator of your life, and you have the power to choose what your life is like and how happy you are. Do your best to live authentically, using the gifts and skills that come naturally to you.

Choose well each day what you desire and create the person you want to become. Infinite possibilities exist for you!
